April 25, 2012

I will not be in today; however, you cannot use this as a reason that you didn’t complete missing work.  As you should know, this website contains everything you need to complete missing work.  Visit either English 4 or English 5 and review what you are missing, print if applicable or write down directions, and get busy.

Whatever work you complete today, it must be turned in on Monday on your way into class.  Don’t leave your work with anyone.  If your outline is completed, it should already be shared with me in gmail at: milmine@peoriabulldogs.com.

Finally, Fat Kid Rules the World will be located in room 117.  You’ll need to sign a sheet of paper with the book number so that I can keep track of it.  Return the book the same day.  You may be unable to get the book until 2nd hour, so flex for another class during that time, if you need a book, or work on your outline.

See you Monday!

“An Ode to My Students”

Everyday I come to P.A.

filled with hope for growth and good times, eh.

But oh wait. My what is it?

15 in one class gone. Can’t be legit…

Shock-sadness-heartbreak-woe

Where are my students? Does anyone know?

Do they hate learning, passing, graduation, me?

There are only 24 more days in the school year, see?

I pine to see many of you tomorrow.

If you don’t think of yourselves, think of me, such sorrow.

Extra Credit Block 3

March 7, 2012

Welcome students!  It is nearly the end of block 3, which means that it is time for you to push yourselves to finish strong.  Here is an extra credit opportunity for you: create a comprehensive (cumulative) study guide over the material covered in the class.  You will receive bonus points on your final assessment if your study guide is thoughtful, organized, and looks like it was helpful to you.

Happy New Year PAHS and welcome to Block 3!  Throughout the block, make a point of using this resource to locate missing work.  This is the only method available to retrieve absentee or other missing assignments.   Simply select the class that you take and scroll down to the date that you were absent.

December 5, 2011

Hello my happy flexers!

As you may have realized, I’m not on campus today, but fear not, you can still make up missing work.  You need to flex with one of your teachers in lieu of flexing with me, but work on missing assignments from our class.  Select the class tab on this main page and scroll down to the day you were absent.  In order to make up missing participation points stemming from your absence, you must make up the work that I have listed online.

Keep all of your missing assingments with you until Monday except for a quiz-leave it with the teacher who gave it to you.

Take care and remember that you have two weeks left this block; make it a winning one.

Mrs. Milmine

Instructions for usage

August 5, 2011

Welcome to Mrs. Milmine’s absentee website.  This site has been designed to aid students who have missed assignments due to absences, tardies or other events.

At the top of this page are Mrs. Milmine’s classes.  Select the class in which you are enrolled and scroll through the assignments to the date that you missed.  Read and review what work you missed, including readings, assignments and tests.  If necessary, click on the link for assignments to print and complete.

All work is due on Friday during your flex session with me.  Any work completed elsewhere will not be accepted.
